The smoothened body is then immersed in a blackening soln. contg. 50W70g/l NaOH or other caustic alkali, 15W50g/l alkali persulfate and 5W10g/l alkali nitrate as oxidizing agents at 60W80°C for 5W30min, thus forming a uniform black oxide film with high solar heat energy absorptivity and less radiation loss.
