Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a battery to be installed on a print board as easily as IC by fitting the battery with either one or more diodes, or one diode and a resistance. CONSTITUTION:The positive electrode of a battery 1 is connected to both the anode of a diode 2 and a pin 15 of a dip package, while the cathode of the diode 2 is connected to a pin 16. The negative electrode of the battery 1 is connected to both the cathode of a diode 3 and a pin 17, while the anode of the diode 3 is connected to a pin 18. Thus, the battery 1 is made to be used as both a positive and a negative power source by connecting the diodes 2 and 3 to the electrodes of the battery 1. An auxiliary power-source circuit including a reverse-flow pervention diode can be obtained by installing the battery 1 instead of IC, and causing a short across the pins 17 and 18.
