Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an intermediate transfer medium having highly durable stickiness and high mold releasability, by adding a hardening agent and a specified silicone type adhesive to a twin-pack condensation type silicone varnish or its modification and forming an adhesive layer using this coating liquid. CONSTITUTION:A twin-pack condensation type silicone varnish or its modification dissolving a thermosetting polysiloxane convertible into a dimensional reticular structure are used as a base component, and a hardening agent and one selected from the following 3 kinds of adhesives are added to said varnish to prepare a coating fluid. Said 3 kinds of adhesives are a twin-pack condensation type silicone varnish or its modification, a twin-pack condensation type or an addition type room temperature hardenable or heat hardenable silicone liquid raw rubber, and methyl-, phenyl-, vinyl-, fluoro-, or nitrilo-silicone solid raw rubber. Said coating liquid is coated on the transfer surface of a transfer bese material, such as a transfer belt 5, for transferring a toner image 10, and heat hardened to form an adhesive layer, thus permitting a transfer belt improved in cleanability to be obtained.
