Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep the speed of revolution stable against the disconnection of load and perform stable shifting from load adjustment to rotational frequency adjustment, by prescribing three kinds of damping for a speed governor to perform adequate shefting control at the time of the disconnection of load.
CONSTITUTION: A damping shifter 1 comprises a selector 5 for damping under load, a selector 6 for damping under no load an a load disconnection damping selector 7 for selecting damping which is lighter than the damping under no load but heavier than the damping under load. When load is disconnected, an operation-going-on signal E, a disconnection signal B and a signal F are respectively supplied from an operation commanding unit 3, a circuit breaker on/off discriminator 2 and a guide vane opening degree transmitter 4. As a result, the load disconnection damping selector 7 is operated to generate a signal G to operate a timer 13. After a prescribed time, the timer 13 generates a signal H to operate the selector 6 for damping under no load.
