Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the space at the front side of a machine, by providing both a photosensitive drum and a shaft in one body and securing the put-in and take-out of the photosensitive drum at its upper part. CONSTITUTION:A photoreceptor 1 and a shaft 2 are set in one body, and the length of the shaft 2 is made shorter than the space between the front and rear side walls 3 and 4 of a photosensitive drum device. Bearings 5 and 6 are provided in the open state on the opposite surface of the walls 3 and 4 to bear movably the both ends of the shaft 2 and in the axial direction. A hole 7 concentric to the shaft 5 is provided to the wall 3, and thus the shaft 2 pierces through the hole 7. A shaft joint 8 is supported rotatably at the back side of the hole 7. On the other hand, a hook lever 9 is provided to the wall 4 in a rotatable way and with the energization given by a spring in the hooking direction to press down and in the axial direction the outer side of a shaft 2a engaging the edge part of the shaft 2 and in the state under which the shaft 2 moves toward the joint 8. In such way, the front space can be effectively utilized for the drum device.
