Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain invariable adequate toner content and to recover toner by providing a bias roller, which absorbs the toner according to the contol of an applied voltage, over a development roll and by further providing a recovery mechanism which recovers the toner sticking to the roll. CONSTITUTION:Over a development roll 8, a bias roll 5 constituted by covering the periphery of a conductive roll with an insulating coating is arranged at a constant interval of distance and driven to turn as shown by an arrow. The conductive roller is applied with a voltage from a DC variable power source 9 to produce an electric field between the conductive roller and the development roll 8 through the insulating coating. The toner bottle 2 has a recovery entrance 12; one end of a blade 6 is in contact with the periphery of the bias roll 5, and the other end is extended to the recovery entrance 12, thus constituting a recovery mechanism B for toner by using them. Consequently, invariably adequate toner content is obtained in a development area to perform excellent copying and recovery to the toner bottle is achieved.
