Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a cake with picture following completely the corrugated face of the cake without causing the deformation of the picture pattern, by forming an electrostatic print layer comprising an edible binder and a coloring matter in the inner face of a mold for shaping a cake, followed by casting a raw ingredient for cake to the mold for shaping a cake.
CONSTITUTION: A toner for electrostatic printing consisting essentially of an edible binder and a coloring matter is printed on the inner face of the mold 1 for shaping a cake made of polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, etc. by electrostatic printing method, to form the electrostatic print layer 2. The dissolved or melted raw ingredient 3 for cake, e.g., biscuit, chocolate, etc. is then cast into the surface of the electrostatic print layer 2 of the mold 1 for shaping a cake, formed and solifified by the desired treatment.
