Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain superior oven fixability and to prevent melt-sticking to paper drawing rollers, by adding low molecular weight polypropylene to an epoxy resin and preparing an electrostatic developing toner consisting essentially of an epoxy resin. CONSTITUTION:Polypropyrene, 0.1-20pts.wt., having 2,000-30,000mol weight and 1-10pts.wt. carbon black are incorporated with 100pts.wt. epoxy resin, and the mixture is kneaded to prepare an electrostatic developing toner. As the epoxy resin, a polycondensation product of bisphenol and epichlorohydrin or the like having 900-4,000mol weight, and 70-150 deg.C softening point can be used. It is especially preferable viewed at the point of balance between fixability to a base and melt- sticking property to the rollers that the epoxy resin has 1,400-3,000mol weight and 90-120 deg.C softening point. The obtained toner is mixed with a carrier of an iron powder or the like to serve as a developer.
