Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the working time and to improve the working efficiency, by operating the length of a prescribed line and comparing this length with an allowable length to perform processings when many lines are approximated to a curve to form NC data. CONSTITUTION:Coordinates Ri (i=1, 2...) of a moving point to be controlled are stored in a coordinate value storage memory 101, and stored contents are read out by a read controlling circiut 102 and are inputted to an operating circuit 103. The circuit 103 operates a length AD from a start point R0 to an end point R1, and a discriminating circuit 104 compares this length AD with an allowable length TD, and the discrimination result is inputted to an NC data forming circuit 105 in case of AD>=TD. The circuit 105 uses the coordinate value of the point R1 as an absolute command to generate NC data and stores this NC data in an NC data storage memory 106. A puncher 107 punches contents of the memory 106 on a paper tape. In case of AD<TD, as operating circuit 110 operates a length AW between the point R2 and a line S1 operated in a line operating circuit 109, and the length AW is compared with an allowable length TW in a discriminating circuit 111, and the just preceding point is used as a target to form NC data in case of AW>=TW.
