Abstract

PURPOSE:To compensate a dropout by delaying one of two sound signals of two channels behind the other by certain time, and repeatedly recording two channel sound signals up to the one-turn period of a discoidal information recording medium during a plural-turn period. CONSTITUTION:A sound signal arriving at an input terminal 1 is branched into two and supplied to frequency modulators 3 and 4 respectively. The output of the modulator 3 is supplied directly to a mixer 5, and that of the modulator 4 is supplied to the mixer 5 through a one horizontal scanning period (1H) delay circuit 6. A color video signal arriving at an input terminal 2 is separated into a luminance and a chrominance signal by a luminance and chrominance signal separating circuit 7; the luminance signal is band-limited and the chrominance signal is converted into a low frequency converted chrominance signal, which is supplied to a mixer 9. The output of the mixer 9 is supplied to the mixer 5. The output of the mixer 5 is modulated by a frequency modulator 10 and supplied to a discoidal information recording medium.
