Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to largely reduce high frequencies of more than the 17-th higher harmonics, by composing a plurality of PWM waveforms having proper phase differences. CONSTITUTION:The output voltage waveform, which can reduce up to the 15-th higher marmonics, consists of five rectangular-wave voltages. With said rectangular- wave voltages used as original signals, the phase signals obtained by shifting the phases of the original signals by proper angles and the original signals are composed. Then, ten rectangular waves are formed comprising two groups each consisting of five rectangular waves which are pi/16 degrees out of phase with each other. by using them as output voltage waveforms, the number of the pulses to open and close a switching element is doubled. Accordingly, it is possible to largely reduce high frequencies of more than the 17-th higher harmonics.
