Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a complete airtightness, by inserting optical fiber cables through a case and packing an airtight packing material in an optical fiber exposure part obtained by removing a jacket partially. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle 103 is inserted through a concrete shielding wall 101 of a nuclear reactor storing vessel, and optical fiber cable bundles 105 are inserted through the nozzle 103. Airtight through devices 106 are inserted through an end wall 104 of the nozzle 103 on optical fiber cables 105, and a flange part 109 is fixed airtightly to the end face 104 through a seal member 112 by bolts 111. Optical fiber cables 113 are inserted through a case 108 of the airtight through device 106, and a packing material 116 is packed in exposed parts 114 obtained by removing jackets 113b, and optical fibers cables 113 are sealed airtightly in both ends. Consequently, a complete airtightness is obtained.
