Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a jig tool of high abrasion resistance in the production of said tool by brazing superhard alloy tips to the prescribed positions in a base by means of hard solder then putting the entire part in a furnace and quench hardening the base. CONSTITUTION:A base 5 is made of a steel material for heat treatment such as carbon steel, tool steel, Cr-Mo steel or bearing steel, and many recesses 7 are provided in the prescribed positions on the inside circumferential surface thereof. Superhard alloy tips or diamond tips 6 are fitted into the recesses 7, and are brazed in a buried state by hard solder 8 of a high m.p. such as brass solder. These are put in a furnace and is heated at prescribed hardening temps., whereby the base 5 is quench hardened. The jig tool having the press conact surfaces 4 of high hardness by the base 5 buried with the tips 6 consisting of a superhard material and subjected to a quench hardening treatment and having high abrasion resistance is obtained.
