Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform assembling work at a high speed by rotating a chute connected to a parts supply unit and by vertically moving an assembling head at the position where parts are assembled to a work piece. CONSTITUTION:When a work piece 18 is transported to an assembling position D' with a transfer unit 19, an assembling unit 13 operates and hence an assembling head 20 is lowered. The assembling head 20 picks up parts 21 from the end of a chute 22 of a straight driving feeder positioned at a location A' below the assembling head 20 and rises to a location B' and then drops again. In the mean time, the chute 22 is rotated and the end of the chute 22 retreats to a location C' beyond the operating range of the assembling head 20. The assembling head 20 continues descent. When it comes to the assembling position above the work piece 18, the head 20 releases the part 21 and rises again to the location B'. When the assembling head 20 rises above the chute 22, the 22 comes to the location A' again and waits. This construction can simplify the operation of the assembling unit, into vertical movement alone, thereby expediting the process of operation.
