Abstract
PURPOSE: To continuously make pouring of molten metal from one side mold to another side mold, by displacing a flowing down molten metal and a flow route changing body relatively and changing the flow of molten metal from a molten metal flow route at one side of the flow route changing body to another flow route at another side.
CONSTITUTION: A molten metal contained in a ladle 13 is poured into two molds 62. In this case, first of all, a flow route changing body 46 is shifted toward the right and the molten metal is dropped down to the left side molten metal flow route 55 and poured to the left side mold 62a. When a prescribed amount of molten metal is poured into the mold 62a, this condition is detected by a radiation thermometer, etc. Then, the flow route changing body 46 is shifted toward the left and the molten metal flow route is changed. The molten metal is dropped down onto the right side molten metal flow route 56 and poured to the right side mold 62b. When the pouring to the mold 62b is completed, the pouring is stopped and the carrier base 61 of next mold is brought to the location below the flow route changing body 46 by driving a mold carrier line. Then, the above mentioned pouring procedure is repeated.
