Abstract

PURPOSE:To apply a main pulse and a subpulse to a thyristor in upright order having no relation with rotation of phase by a method wherein after the main pulse is applied to the thyristor, the auxiliary pulse is applied to the thyristor thereof at the next time point to generate the main pulse to be applied to the other thyristor. CONSTITUTION:A main pulse is applied to a thyristor UP from a thyristor trigger delay angle control circuit 2, while a flip flop 4 provided with a trigger terminal in an auxiliary pulse generating circuit 10 is made to be in set condition by generation of the main pulse mentioned above. When the main pulse is generated from any other thyristor trigger delay angle control circuit 2 in this condition, the auxiliary pulse is generated through an OR circuit 3 and an AND circuit 6, and is applied to the thyristor UP through an OR circuit 7. Accordingly the device having no relation with the direction of rotation of phase of an AC electric power source can be constituted.
