Abstract

PURPOSE:To smoothly and effectively return from a step-out of a linear motor by stopping the correction of a current waveform pattern while the phase difference between a current waveform pattern and an output of position detecting means exceeds the prescribed value and during the predetermined time thereafter. CONSTITUTION:A speed arithmetic unit 3 serves to obtain the prescribed distance passing time TL from a position signal 1, and a sinusoidal wave generator 5 serves to form a sinusoidal wave corresponding to 180 deg. at the current angle for the time TL. A phase difference comparator 6 serves to obtain a phase difference between the signal converted from the position signal 1 to sinusoidal wave by a signal converter 2 and a sinusoidal wave signal from the generator 5 as a time TP. A position correcting unit 4 serves to correct the time TL by the phase difference TP. A step-out processor 8 closes a timer contact of a phase difference detector 6 when the phase difference TP exceeds the prescribed value, and opens a ready signal simultaneously. Thus, the return from the step-out can be smoothly performed.
