Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled composition having extremely small erosion of metal, improved color tone and heat exposure resistance under high temperature, obtained by blending a rubber reinforced styrene resin with an imidazole and its substituted derivative.
CONSTITUTION: A rubber reinforced styene resin is blended with stabilizing amounts of an imidazole and its substituted derivative. The addition of an amino alcohol to the blend provides a synergistic action. In the stabilizing amounts, 100pts.wt. resin is used with ≥0.06pts.wt. imidazole, and when both the imidazole and the amino alcohol are used, the total amounts are ≥0.05pts.wt.
