Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the switch release and to realize the simplification and the prevention of a mistransmission for a facsimile device having a polling function, by attaining two functions by means of just a switch for the polling operation. CONSTITUTION:A self-reset type switch 7A, a polling display part 7B and an original sensor 6 are provided at a facsimile device having a polling function. If the output of the sensor 6 is set at 1 when the switch 7A is pushed, the polling transmission state is obtained and displayed at the part 7B. When the output of the sensor 6 is 0, the polling reception is started. When the output of the sensor 6 is 1 when the polling transmission is discontinued, the polling transmission queuing state is held. Then the polling transmission queuing state is cancelled when the output of the sensor 6 is 0. In such way, it is possible to attain two functions for the permission of the polling transmission and the start of the polling reception by means of just a unit of switch 7A.
