Abstract
PURPOSE:To restart an engine, by collecting kinetic energy provided in an automobile at its deceleration and utilizing this collected energy. CONSTITUTION:An energy collecting flywheel 19 is built in an alternator 1. A deceleration switch 27 is turned ON at the time of deceleration, and an electromagnet 26 is operated to brake and hold a disc 23, then rotary motion of an internal gear 9 is oppositely further increasingly transmitted through planetary gears 22 to a sun gear 21 further transmitted to a collecting flywheel 19 to collect energy. At restarting, the internal gear 9 and disc 30b of an output take off shaft 30 are attracted by an electromagnet 31, and rotary motion of the collecting flywheel 19 is decelerated through the sun gear 21, planetary gears 22 and internal gear 9, then rotary motion of high torque is transmitted to an output take off shaft 31, thus the rotary shaft of a starter motor directly coupled to said shaft 31 can be rotated.
