PURPOSE:To stably produce a multiphase type emulsion of superior rate of growth and texture by dispersing an water-in-oil type emulsion prepd. by a specific lipophilic surfactant in an aqueous soln. added with a specific hydrophilic surfactant. CONSTITUTION:A water-in-oil type emulsion prepd. beforehand by using a lipophilic surfactant is dispersed into an aqueous soln. added with a hydrophilic surfactant, whereby a multiphase emulsion of water-in-oil-in-water type is produced. In this case, triglycerol fatty acid ester or sorbitan diglycerol fatty acid ester is used as the lipophilic surfactant, and polyoxyethylene curing caster oil fatty acid ester, or cane sugar fatty acid ester is used as the hydrophilic surfactant. The multiphase type emulsion which is high in rate of growth, is difficult to receive the influence of humectants, antiseptics, etc. and has excellent texture is produced stably.
