Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve a correct selection of items even if the item sheet is inputted with slippage, by detecting the position shift of the sheet with marks described on the item sheet in the selection of items and compensating the shift. CONSTITUTION:In case of item selection, an item sheet 6 on which suitable items are described and sheet position marks 7 are described on the rear side is located on a graphic tablet. The marks 7 are detected with, e.g., mark sensors 4A- 4C, the output is converted into a binary signal with a sense amplifier and an offset signal 103 is obtained at a sheet position shift calculation circuit 9. This signal 103 is added to position signals 100 and 101 obtained from a position detection circuit 8 with the input of item selection, an area discrimination circuit 10 corrects the position shift, and an adress signal 104 corresponding to the selected item of the item sheet corrected for the position shift is outputted, and an item code memory 11 outputs a correct item code signal 105.
