Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to manipulate a switch easily irrespective of the position where a fan is installed, by arranging the switch to be located at one side of a stand, and forming a bifurcated portion at the top of the stand so that a neck piece of the fan can be attached to the bifurcated portion of the stand in both of normal and reversed directions. CONSTITUTION:When a stand 2 is mounted on a support A as shown in the drawing, the main body 4 of a fan is installed to face frontward by a neck piece 3 which is inserted into a bifurcated portion 9 formed at the top of the stand 2. Therefore, a switch 12 arranged at one side of the stand 2 is located at the back of the stand 2, so that it can be manipulated smoothly without any hindrance. On the other hand, when the stand 2 is fixed to a wall surface B in the manner that the switch 12 faces downward, the main body 4 is attached to the stand 2 in an inverted manner. By thus installing the fan, it is enabled to position the main body 4 in a direction capable of ventilating air at a high efficiency and to face the switch 12 downward so that it can be manipulated with ease.
