Abstract
PURPOSE:To monitor the quality of signals, by sampling and holding in-phase and orthogonal base band signals obtained by detection of a differential phase modulation signal and inputting these base band signals to horizontal and vertical axes of an oscilloscope to observe bright points. CONSTITUTION:A differential phase modulation signal is detected to obtain in-phase and orthogonal base band signals Sb1 and Sb2, and these base band signals are inputted to sampling hold circuits SH1 and SH2 and are sampled and held by sampling pulses PS synchronized with a timing signal. Sampled and held signals SX and SY are inputted to input terminals of horizontal and vertical axes of an oscilloscope, and the state of bright points is observed on the oscilloscope. Bright points become as shown in figure A for a high quality of the receiving signal and becomes as shown in figure B for a low quality.
