Abstract
PURPOSE: Petroleum heavy residual fraction of specific properties and a combustible cellulosic substance are mixed under heating at a specific ratio and solidified to produce simply the titled solid fuel having good ignition and combustion properties, being convenient for transportation and handling.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 30W95vol% of Petroleum heavy residual fraction of over 40°C fluid point, less than 5wt% sulfur content, less than 300ppm total amounts of nickel and vanadium and higher than 500°C boiling point such as vacuum re- sidue resulting from separation of vacuum light oil from normal residue of crude oil and (B) 5W70wt% of combustible cellulosic substance such as grain hulls or saw dusts are mixed under heating, preferably at 80W120°C, molded and cooled to give the objective solid fuel. Component B is preferably used after dried until the water content becomes 7W10wt%.
EFFECT: The resultant fuel exhausts clean gases after combustion and remains a small amount of ashes. Further, heavy residual oil and combustible cellulosic substances can be effectively utilzed.
