Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a plate member and a reinforcing rib into one body easily by following process in which a reinforcing member applied to the part requiring reinforcement is composed of rib like care member for keeping the form and sheet like resin without setting treatment which is used for covering the core, when the plate member such as doors or roof panels in a car are treated. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing member 21 is stuck to the part requiring reinforcement on a plate 20, when the plate 20 used for a outer panel etc. of a door is reinforced. Reinforcing member 21 is composed of core body 22 and sheet like resin 23 without setting treatment which is used for covering the core. The core body 22 is shaped into a rib like form with triangular or tropezoidal section by using corrugated card board material 26. The resin such as thermosetting epoxy resin is utilized as the resin sheet 23, and said resin is hardened at the baking temperature in a dry furnace, but it is soft and has good adhering and sticking properties in the room temperature. Further, glass fiber or other reinforcing material 25 have been also added previously on the front surface of the resin sheet 23 in some cases.
