Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the ratio of fuel to air from becoming too high at the time of deceleration, by providing a fuel control valve in a halfway part of the slow fuel passage of a secondary fuel supply line and by closing the valve at the time of deceleration. CONSTITUTION:A primary fuel supply line comprises a Venturi part 17, a main nozzle 18 and an intake passage 24. A secondary fuel supply line comprises a Venturi part 31, a main nozzle 32 and an intake passage 37. A secondary slow fuel supply line comprises a slow jet port 43a and by-pass ports 39, 40 opened just upstream to a throttle valve 38. A fuel control valve 94 is installed just upstream to the by-pass port 39 of each of passages 41 respectively corresponding to cylinders. The opening and closing of the control valve 94 is regulated by an actuator 98. At the time of sharp deceleration, strong negative intake pressure acts to an intake port 3 to operate the actuator 98 to shut off the halfway part of the passage 41 so that the fuel supply to an induction pipe 83 is cut to prevent the mixture from becoming too thick.
