Abstract
PURPOSE:To make braking device smaller and save energy by performing braking function by way of storing kinetic energy under running as well as utilizing the stored energy at the time of starting the car. CONSTITUTION:When the rotational speed of the oil pump 1 is reduced by way of relaxing the accelerator pedal 18 of the engine 11 during the car is running with the forward/backward switching valve 8 being placed to forward position, then the delivery volume of the pump 1 becomes lower than the suction volume of the wheel driving oil motor 4, and the balance valve 5 is closed. During this period, the motor 4 is conversely driven by the wheel by inertia force and generates oil pressure. The generated pressured oil passes through the valve 17, operates the valve 7 and is fed to the accumulator 8 through the valve 6, and at the same time reaction acts to the motor 4 and braking function is performed. Then, when starting from stopping state, when the valve 3 is shifted to the forward position, the oil pressure in the accumulator 8 drives the motor 4 through the valve 7, valve 9, valve 15, flow-control valve 10, and valve 3, however, the derivery oil pressure of the pump 1 does not contribute to the starting because building up of oil pressure delays somewhat by the characteristics of the centrifugal clutch 12.
