Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the discomfortability by providing a plurality of holes for discharging the oil pressure from a lock-up chamber while varying the coupling direction moving speed of a lock-up clutch piston thereby integrating the coupling shock and the speed change shock. CONSTITUTION:When exciting a lock-up solenoid 31 and conducting a port 30d to a drain port 30b, a lock-up chamber 27 will conduct through the paths 16, 56, ports 30d, 30b and a path 60 to an oil discharge hole 61 thus to discharge the oil pressure in the lock-up chamber 27 with the speed to be determined by the inner diameter of an orifice 62. While a lock-up speed control valve 40 will lower a spool 40a with the time lag and the port 40c and the oil discharge hole 40d are initially conducted, it is discharged quickly through the oil discharge holes 61, 40d. Thereafter the spool 40a will block the port 40c from the oil discharge hole 40d, thereby it is discharged slowly through an oil discharge hole 61.
