Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formulaI[R1 is H, -CH2OH or -CH2OAc (Ac is acetyl); R2 is Ac or group of formula II; R3 is group of formula IIIWVI, etc.].
EXAMPLE: 1- ( 2,3,4,6-Tetra-O-acetyl-β-D-glucopyranosyl ) imidazoline- 2-thione of formula VII.
USE: Remedy for cancer, preventive for metastasis, immunosuppressing agent for the transplantation of organs, remedy for collagen diseases such as rheumatic arthritis and autoimmune diseases, etc.
PROCESS: The objective compound can be prepared e.g. by dissolving an isothiocyanate compound of formula VIII in a solvent such as acetonitrile, and reacting with a compound containing an amino group corresponding to the group R3 of the compound of formulaI.
