Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a mark detecting signal to be reliably obtained even at a high-speed running time through suppressing of vibration of a linear object, by a method wherein a point, where a mark is applied on the linear object, and an opposite side to a mark detection point are pressed against a vibration resisting guide roller. CONSTITUTION:A linear object 6 is pressed against a vibration resisting guide roller 13 by means of guide rollers 11 and 12, and a mark apllying device 1 and mark detectors 2 and 3 are placed in a section where vibration is suppressed. In the constitution, a mark, printed by the mark applying device 1, is detected by the detectors 2 and 3, and a mark moving speed and a mark distance are computed by a given computer to find a necessary length of the inner object 6. This anbles preventing of the roller 13 from vibration, which results in the reliable detection of a mark even at a high-speed running.
