Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a propeller of high operational efficiency by determining pitches to obtain the optimum state of operation of a propeller blade at respective positions for restraining cavitation. CONSTITUTION:In this invention, the wake coefficient value of a chain line B is taken at an almost 100% radius position, and the wke coefficient value of a solid line A is taken at an almost 70% radius position, while a new wake distribution constructed of a fair curve taking the lowest wake value at the almost 70% radius position is obtained. A braken line C shows a wake distribution as the base of the pitch distribution of this invention. Then, on the basis of the above- said wake distributions, pitches are determined so that a propeller blade may obtain the optimum operational state at respective positions.
