Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an antireflection film of small residual reflectivity over the entire visible wavelength region for substrate glass of a wide refractive index range by coating the antireflection film of 5-layered structures in such a way as to have specific refractive indices and optical film thicknesses as well as design wavelength. CONSTITUTION:In an antireflection film to be coated on the surface of optical glass, this antireflection film is so formed as to satisfy the conditions; N1d1 0.25lambdaO, 1.30<=N1<=1.45; 0.45lambda0<=N2d2<=0.60lambdaO, 1.90<=N2 <=2.30; N3d3<=0.25lambdaO, 1.40<= N3<=1.80; N4d4<=0.25lambdaO, 1.90<=N4<=2.30; N5d5<=0.25lambdaO; 1.40<= N5<=1.80; N1<N3, N1<N5 wherein the refractive indices of the constituting materials of the 1st- 5th layers, which are the 1st, the 2nd, the 3rd, the 4th, the 5th layer successively from the air side to the substrate glass side, are defined as N1, N2, N3, N4, N5 successively, the optical film thicknesses of the 1st-5th layers successively as N1d1, N2d2, N3d3, N4d4, N5d5 and the design wavelength as lambdaO.
