Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve automatic color correction surely and easily, by providing a semiconductor element converting incident light into color picture and an element detecting the energy distribution of the incidet light source on one semiconductor base. CONSTITUTION:A lot of photo sensors 1 being picture elements are located on a semiconductor base in two dimension. A detecting circuit using a photo sensor 11 detects the energy distribution of light source of incident light and the output voltage changes according to the intensity of each color component. When each color component of the light source is detected and the output signal is inputted to a white balance adjusting circuit, the balancing can awalys be taken. Further, the photo detecting circuit can be integrated on one semiconductor base with an image sensing section easily. Thus, since the image sensing section and the detecting element are incorporated on one semiconductor base, the white balance output can always be obtained without sampling of video signals independently of a video signal processing section.
