Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled composition, containing alumina cement powder, calcium powdery curing agent and a curing retarding agent capable of inhibiting the diffusion of calcium ions as essential components, and havng a high strenth and rich durability with almost no toxicity and irritant action.
CONSTITUTION: The titled composition containing 100pts.wt. alumina cement powder, 1W50pts.wt. calcium powdery curing agent and 1W20pts.wt. curing retarding agent, e.g. polyvinyl alcohol, as essential components. The resultant composition is usable as a dental pulp capping agent, root canal filler, sealing agent, bone defect repairing agent, etc., and the cured article will not cause volume change is insoluble in the tissual fluid, has rich durability and facilitates the further treatment without inhibiting the resin polymerization for the dental use. The composition is divided into the following four groups according to the storage form before the use; Powder-liquid, powder-paste, paste-liquid and paste- paste.
