Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent shaking of a buoyancy body by waves and improve stability of a light buoy by providing a flared ring-shaped damper beneath the buoyancy body and near the outer circumference of the disk type light buoy. CONSTITUTION:A turret 3 provided with a light 2 on its top is mounted on the deck of a disk type buoyancy body 1 to constitute a disk type light buoy, and a flared ring-shaped damper 6 is provided beneath the buoyancy body and near the outer circumference of the disk type buoyancy body 1. The ring-shaped damper 6 is provided along the circumference of said buoyancy body 1 in such a way as to spread a short skirt like an umbrella. In addition, an optimum number of radial dampers 7 are provided along the ring-shaed damper 6 so as to support it and are spaced evenly slong the circumference, thus effectively suppress the rotating movement of said buoyancy body 1. According to this constitution, the light buoy can be kept in a stable condition even under violent waves.
