Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a dehumdifying element which perform dehumidification while cooling adsorbents efficiently by laminating sheetlike objects having moisture absorptivity and sheetlike objects having no moisture absorptivity alternately.
CONSTITUTION: Air permeable elements 2 formed by fusing sheetlike objects absorbing no moisture such as plastic films which are formed into a corrugated shape and separating sheets together and moisture absorbing elements 3 made by forming sheetlike objects having moisture absrptivity such as activated carbon fibers are laminated alternately by crossing their air passages 2c, 3c. To perform dehumidification with a dehumidifying element 1 constituted in this way, cooling air is passed through the element 2 in an arrow B direction while a wet gas is passed in an arrow A direction, so that the heat of adsorption generated when the elements 3 adsorb moisture is absorbed. To regenerate the elements 3, the feeding of the wet gas and the cooling air is ceasesd, and heating air for generation is fed in the arrow A direction, whereby the elements are regenerated.
