Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to perform a reliable wave dissipation, by a method wherein an upper part each of four corners of a floating device is coupled to a given spot at an upper part, positioned at an opposite side to that of the floating device, of a wave dissipating device by means of a rope, and this causes the floating device, influenced by waves, to move in an opposite direction to that of the movement of the wave dissipating device. CONSTITUTION:If the crest of a wave 7 reaches a floating wave dissipating bank 1, the offing side of a floating device 2 is raised through a buoyancy, and a steel pipe column 4 at the shore side is positioned in a lower level. A wave dissipating device 3 is pulled by wires 10 to causes the shore side or a rear wall 9 side to be raised, the floating device 2 and the wave dissipating device 3 are caused to turn in a reverse direction to each other, and the wave dissipating device 3 rotates facing the wave. The wave, produced by the wave dissipating device 3, is brought into a reverse phase to that of the wave entering into from the offing, and as a result, it is dissipated.
