Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a stable and highly reliable magnetic bearing meter for vehicle, by such an arrangement that the vector sum of two bearing components of the horizontal component of the terrestrial magnetism and a set value are compared with each other, and the detection condition is maintained constant according to the output from the comparison. CONSTITUTION:The horizontal component HS of the terrestrial magnetism in the traveling region of an automobile is constant and given from the vector sum of bearing components HX and HY detected by output windings 4, 5 of a flux- gate sensor 1. When environment changes, electric signals EX, EY corresponding to the bearing components HX, HY delivered from a detecting section 10 are converted into patterns corresponding to courses in a processing circuit 11 and fed through a latching circuit 16 to a decoder 17. On the other hand, a square sum signal obtained through arithmetic circuits 12, 13 and an adding circuit 14 is compared with a set value corresponding to the terrestrial magnetism Hs<2> in a comparator 15, and the differential output is inverted and applied to the latching circuit 16 to latch the bearing detection patterns just before fluctuations, which are given to a display section 18. Thereby, it is possible to obtain a stable and highly reliable magnetic bearing meter for vehicles.
