Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the leakage of steam by connecting the high pressure and the first intermediate pressure turbines in one casing and a low pressure turbine in another casing to one shaft and connecting the second intermediate pressure turbine in one casing and a low pressure turbine in another casing to another shaft.
CONSTITUTION: The high pressure turbine 6 and the first intermediate pressure turbine 11 are connected by one shaft, and housed in one casing in countercurrent type. The second intermediate pressure turbines 16a, 16b are constructed by one shaft, and housed in another casing in countercurrent type, and each exhaust steam is divided into the first machine forming one shaft by the high pressure turbine 6 and the double current exhaust low pressure turbine 18a and the second machine forming one shaft by the intermediate pressure turbines 16 and the double current exhaust turbine 18b, and introduced into the low pressure turbines 18. Steam does not leak to the second machine from a gland section because the second intermediate pressure turbine 16 is formed in double current and countercurrent type.
