Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the size of a sensing mechanism by providing a driving means of applying torque of rotation to a rotary member, by locking the rotary member by engaging it with a fixed member when a reel turntable stops rotating, and by detecting the rotation stop of the reel turntable by reaction torque the driving means generate at that time.
CONSTITUTION: A pawl 47a provided at one end of an arm 47 engages with the external circumference of an internal-tooth gear 50 driven by a motor all the time; and a corrugated cam 50a is formed on one side surface of the gear 50, and a projection 50b is provided on the other side surface which faces the valley part of the cam 50a. Therefore, when the arm 47 is driven clockwise, the pawl 47a is pressed against the cam 50a side of the internal-tooth gear 50 to move to left and right in accordance with the shape of the cam 50a; when reel turntables 42a and 42b stop and the power which drives the arm 47 clockwise is not generated any more, the pawl 47a of the arm stops at the mountain part of the cam 50a as shown by an alternate long and short dash line to stop the rotation of the internal-tooth gear 50. By this stop, the removal of a sag of a tape or the end of the tape is detected.
