Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the function of a temper rolling by keeping the rolling rate of a rolling mill constant, by computing a compensating current corresponding to the deformation resistance of a material and mechanical loss by detecting the speed of a rolling roll, and adding said current to the set current of the roll. CONSTITUTION:The speed of a rolling roll 3 between the inlet side and outlet one of bride rolls 2 and 4 is detected by a detector 13. The detected signal is inputted to an adder 15 arranged between a current setter 6 and a speed controller 7 through a correcting operator 14. At this time, the speed of the rolling roll 3 is inputted together with the set quantities, set by a deformation-resistance standard setter 16 and a mechanical-loss setter 17, to the operator 14. Both the deformation resistance and mechanical loss, changing with the varying roll speed, are inputted as the function of the changing degree to the operator 14 to be computed. Next, corrected electric currents corresponding of te deformation resistance and the mechanical loss are obtained to correct the set values of electric current, and successively the corrected result are impressed on the rolling roll 3 to control it.
