Abstract
PURPOSE:To examine an intermittent fault due to a defective earth line easily and rapidly, by logging an earth line noise successively. CONSTITUTION:A ripple detector 2 is interposed between the ground potential input terminal E of a power source 1 and the ground. The output signal of this detector 2 is inputted to one input terminal of a peak detector 4 through an amplifier 3. A reference voltage source 5 is connected to the other input terminal of the detector 4; and detection signals sent from the amplifier 3 successively are compared with a threshold level from a reference voltage source 5 set to a prescribed value and when the input signal exceeding the threshold level is inputted, it is detected to send an output signal to a register 6. Thus, the voltage of an earth line is monitored all the time and if the detector 4 generates the output signal, the register 6 is set to perform error logging. Then, its generation time, etc., is also logged in an unshown storage device.
