Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve heating speeds and save energy by controlling the combustion of the burners in a heating chamber, and the burners in a soaking chamber under the conditions such as the width and conveying speeds of a metallic strip, the temp. in the furnace, etc. in a continuous type non-oxidative heat treatment furnace consisting of a preheating chamber, a heating chamber and a soaking chamber for metallic strips. CONSTITUTION:In a continuous type non-oxidative heat treatment furnace constituted of a preheating chamber 1, a heating chamber 2 and a soaking chamber 3 for a metallic strip 4, plural inclined burners 5 are provided in the upper and lower positions in the chamber 2, and combustion gas of <=1.0 air-to-fuel ratio is blown to the top and bottom surfaces of the strip 4, whereby non-oxidative heating is accomplished. The combustion of the burners 5 is controlled by the signals from a control operator 14 in accordance with the width and conveying speeds of the strip 4, the temps. in the chambers. Radiation tube burners 16 by waste gases contg. combustible components of the chamber 2 and fresh fuel gas are installed in the chamber 3, and the supply rates of the waste gases and air for combustion are controlled by the temps. in the chamber, whereby the temps. are controlled to correct temps. and the speed of the heat treatment and the thermal efficiency for the heat treatment are improved.
