Abstract
PURPOSE:To know both the executing route and the result of execution of a microprogram, by writing history data showing the result of execution of the microprogram into a region where an error correction code of each word of a control storage is stored. CONSTITUTION:During a test to perform the debug of a microprogram, input data DA is set to a microinstruction counter 2 from an operation code part, etc. of an instruction of an information processor. Then the data equivalent to a word is read out of a control storage device 1 with the contents of the counter 2 used as an address. In this case, a test mode signal ST is applied to open a gate 8. Thus only the part of a microinstruction MI in the data does not pass an error detection correcting circuit 4 but is set directly to an operation register 5 to be executed in the same way as an ordinary operation through a decoder 6. When a microinstruction is executed, the history data corresponding to the result of the execution is written into a region of the error correction code ECC in a word containing the corresponding microinstruction.
