Abstract
PURPOSE: To purify and reuse ethylene glycol containing a textile oiling agent formed in the depolymerization of a synthetic polyester fiber, into an oiling agent phase and an ethylene glycol phase, and treating the ethylene glycol phase with active carbon.
CONSTITUTION: Ethylene glycol containing a textile oiling agent formed in the depolymerization of a synthetic polyester fiber is supplied from an oiling agent separating tank 1 of the separating tanks 1W3 interconnected and installed in series, allowed to stand and separated into oiling agent passes (IWIII) and ethylene glycol phases (I'WIII'), which are further passed through the separating tanks 2W3, standing in each tank. After the elimination of the oiling agent phase outside of the system, the final ethylene glycol phase is fed to the lower part of an active carbon adsorbing column 6, and treated with active carbon, to take purified ethylene glycol out of a piping 7 in the upper part of the adsorbing column 6. The active carbon adsorbing the oiling agent is delivered from the lower part, regenerated in a regenerating tank 11 and circulated for reuse.
