Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a memory device light-weight in weight and to achieve restored pictue with fidelity, by restoring the video data with the primary and secondary restoring processes, after compressing the data and recording it with the primary and secondary compressing processes. CONSTITUTION:The video data VD in multivalue at the primary compressing process 11 is sequentially sampled into 2X2 video elements from the top and the average tone is calculated to form the primary compressing data. In the secondary compressing process 12, the primary compressing data is sampled into 4X4 video elements, and the maximum and minimum tone of each block, and the value in hierarchy with each tone are stored in the file 13 in the recording form with the bit number according to the difference of tone. In the primary restoration process 14, the hierarchy in the compressed block is converted into tone and restored to the video data in 2X2 video elements. In the secondary restoring process 15, the primary restoring data is sampled in the unit of 3X3 video elements, and the center video element each 3X3 video element is decomposed into 2X2 video elements through the tone of the surrounding video elements, to pick up the restored video VD.
