Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform bending in vertical and horizontal directions continuously and improve working efficiency by providing punches for vertical bending and horizontal bending to one die for pressing.
CONSTITUTION: The work W is placed on the top surface 25 of a die 4 between a vertically movable upper die 1 and a position fixed lower die 2 and the working part W1 is projected, thence the upper die 1 is moved downward,. Then, a pad 7 fixes the work W to the die top surface 25 by elastic force of a spring 6. Following to this, the working part 15 of a punch 9 for longitudinal bending bends the working part W1 of the work in a vertical direction along the die side face 14 by the elastic force of a spring 8. Then, a punch 18 for horizontal bending is advanced toward the die 4 against a spring 23 by the sliding of sloped cam faces 17, 22 on downward movement of a drive cam 10. While the vertical bending punch 9 is being moved upward by the sliding of the sloped cam faces 21, 16, the lower part of the vertically bent part W2 of the work is bent horizontally along the die under surface 19.
