Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-sensitivity recording medium which can convert effectively the information write light into the heat, by installing the light absorption accelerating layer at the irradiation side of the information write light of the magnetic recording layer. CONSTITUTION:The vertical magnetized recording magnetic recording layer 2 formed by the amorphous-group alloy such as Gd-Fe-Co is provided on the supporter 1 formed with the transparent substance such as the glass DTC, plastics, quartz and the like. Then the absorption accelerating layer 3 is installed at the irradiation side of the information write light 4 of the layer 2 in order to secure an effective absorption of the information write light. Thus the absorption heat can be used effectively to make it possible to write the record with the light of a small amount of energy.
