Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the optical responsiveness of a camera tube without the generation of a distortion on a picture, by subjecting a mesh electrode to a heat-treatment in the inert gas after the mesh electrode is adhered with a fluorescent material. CONSTITUTION:A face plate 1, an inner cylinder type glass tube 6 and a metallic ring 4 are sealed with indium 5 to form an airtight vacuum tube. A transparent electrode 2 and a photoconductor layer 5 are arranged successively on the inside surface of the face plate 1. After a mesh electrode 7, which is adhered with a fluorescent material, is subjected to a heat-treatment at the temperature of 500-700 deg.C in the time of 10-15min in the hydrogen gas, in a vacuum and in the inert gas, it is assembled in a camera tube.
